Digital Imaging Technology
X-rays show us in detail everything that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Dental X-rays allow us to detect cavities between teeth, determine bone levels, and analyze bone strength. We can also examine the roots and nerves of the teeth, diagnose lesions such as tumors or cysts, as well as evaluate and determine damage if trauma occurs. Dental X-rays are essential when diagnosing, treating, or maintaining dental health. The exposure period for X-rays is extremely minimal.
Dr. Ramos uses digital imaging technology in the office, as the exposure period is 50% less compared to traditional X-rays. Digital imaging is easier to manage since it allows us to store images in an organized manner by patient and facilitates the transfer to specialists or insurance companies.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays offer greater accuracy because they allow the image to be viewed on a computer monitor instead of holding a 35 mm film up to the light. Digital X-rays expose you to only about one-sixth of the radiation of a conventional X-ray.
