Aesthetic Surgery or Gingivectomy<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In some patients, gum tissue can cover the tooth surface, making the teeth appear small, short, and square. This is often referred to as a \"Gummy Smile.\" In a gingivectomy, excessive gum tissue is removed, exposing the natural size of the tooth and achieving an aesthetically pleasing smile. In our office, this procedure is usually performed with a Biolase Laser, which causes minimal discomfort and reduces healing time.<\/p>

Maxillary sinus elevation<\/h2>

The maxillary sinuses are air spaces located above the upper posterior molars. When these molars are lost, there is often not enough bone to place an implant without it entering the air space.<\/p>

A maxillary sinus lift raises the floor of the maxillary sinus, allowing bone to be placed so that dental implants can later be installed.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Crown lengthening<\/h2>

Crown lengthening is a surgical procedure in which gum tissue and bone are removed in order to lengthen the tooth structure, allowing the tooth to be restored.<\/p>

Pharyngectomy<\/h2>

A frenectomy is simply the surgical removal of a frenum. A frenum is a band of tissue that can sometimes pull on the gum, causing gum recession or a gap between the front teeth. Using the Biolase Laser\u00ae corrects the frenectomy with a minimally invasive procedure.<\/p>

Tissue Graft<\/h2>

Gum recession occurs when gum tissue is lost, exposing the roots of the teeth.
